Some of you may or may not know this, but I am also a contributor to a really awesome design site called Design Milk. It’s like a whole other side of me I have yet to show here on Cultural Chromatics, but I think it’s time to change that! To kick it off, here are a few of my favorite things I’ve recently written about.
Enchanting Finland by Chao-Hsien Kuo: Both modern and ethereal at the same time, this jewelry inspired by a plant is absolutely stunning.
The Kettle Black Cafe in Melbourne (also the featured photo): I love the neutral space that’s accentuated by matte black, brass, and green.
Terraforming Fashion by Iris Van Herpen: Clothing that is seriously intricate and modern. From black fractal dresses to 3D printed shoes, her FW15 collection is seriously mindblowing.
simple by Brandon Agency: I really like how this innovative fast food company placed an emphasis on having good design on the very beginning, from interior design to establishing corporate identity.
Geometric Pouf by Tokujin Yoshioka: Working in interior design and home decor, I’ve developed an appreciation for well designed poufs/ottomans/stools, etc. I love the faceted shape and gradient color of this one.
