Lam Hoa Tuan may not be the prettiest restaurant. And they may not have the best service, but it’s one of my go-to places for a delicious, well-priced meal. Located in outer Sunset, it’s a bit of a trek but totally worth the drive.
When you walk in, you’re instantly greeted by a juicy display of roasted Chinese BBQ dripping with fat. You know that it’s going to be good. The restaurant has an extensive menu with both Cantonese and Vietnamese food, making it very hard to choose exactly what you want. From pho to fried rice to catfish, they’ve got it all.
I would definitely recommend their BBQ meats. The duck is packed with flavor and the roast pork is perfectly juicy.
Of course, you can’t go wrong with any of their soup noodles. This is the seafood ho fun soup, yum! And of course, you HAVE to try their fresh made soy milk, hot. It is absolutely refreshing and very, very fresh.
