Welcome to Foodie Fridays! Every week, we will share a recipe for you to try at home. We hope it will expand your palette and bring new homemade dishes to the table.
This week, we would like to share this simple and easy-to-make dessert: Crescent-Wrapped Brie. Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to “seada/sebada”. It is a traditional dessert from Sardinia. The fritter-like pastry is filled with fresh cheese and lemon rind, fried, and served with honey. Absolutely amazing. If you ever find yourself in the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome, add this to your travel plans and order your own seada/sebada at Ristorante Albaruja (Via Portuense 169, 00153 Roma). The seada is so good that I returned multiple times on my trip!
In any case, coming back to the States, I have not been able to find any restaurant that prepares seada, but this recipe is definitely the next best thing. AND, you can do your own twist by adding a layer of fruit jam of your choice inside.

Tip: The dough is challenging to handle if it thaws to room temperature.
Happy eating, everyone!
