I guess fashion bloggers all get to help celebrate launches during the same time. It seemed like so ages ago when I went to Tiffany’s for the launch of their Atlas Collection, but it was only a week later that I went to 7 for All Mankind for another launch! Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific hosted this time, as 7FAM celebrated their new capsule collection with Parisian clothing mill, Mahlia Kent.
At first glance, the jacket and jeans from Mahlia Kent look like they’re well, bedazzled, for lack of a better word. However, when you get closer and feel it, then you realize that it’s all fabric. Thus, all the shiny and metallic looks are achieved simply through intricate and unique threads. Can you believe those aren’t jewels?!
A peek at their fall items. I really like all the black and gold items– I mean, you really just can’t go wrong with that combo.
Of course, no store would be complete unless they had some sort of succulent or terrarium as decoration.
A DJ booth… where I never saw the DJ actually.
They served macarons and champagne, quite a classic combo. I believe they also hired model/actors/waiters to walk around with them. Holla at yo girl!
And of course, Blair! The other time I’ve met her is one time, 2 years ago downtown, when I was awkwardly watching from afar as she was doing shots with her boyfriend. They saw me being somewhat creepy so I went and introduced myself, haha. This time, I was only a little awkward. I think. She is super nice and easy to talk to. And quite funny actually. Wish she still lived in the Bay Area– but I guess Mylinh’s lucky that she’s based in NYC now :).
