Looking for something to do this Friday? Want to look at some great art and maybe break out into a public dance party in the middle of the street? Then you want to head out to Oakland this Friday night for First Friday from 5-10pm!
The Oakland Art Murmur hosts this event every first Friday of the month from 5-10pm and also weekly Saturday Art Walks. I first checked out First Friday a few years back when it was just a handful of art studios that participated. The event has grown into a dedicated community of people coming together to culture the city with a solid art scene and entertainment for all ages. Since summer of 2012, First Friday has been transformed into an eight-block art festival with live music, food trucks, street vendors and plenty of open studios/galleries.
