Of course when I was in Houston, I made sure to visit all the gramworthy spots, including the Biscuit Paint Wall in Montrose. Dripping with paint, this bold wall has contrasting columns in a wide spectrum of colors.
Montrose is also generally a great area for exploring what’s been dubbed the “Heart of Houston”. Not only are there little shops and bakeries, there’s also some amazing galleries and indie music clubs.
I also had the pleasure of meeting up with the lovely Karen at Catalina Coffee Co. With rustic wooden tables, lots of local paintings and gorgeous latte art, Catalina Coffee Co had a distinct feel that reminded me a lot of home. Right outside is a giant mural and cozy outdoor seating.
With the flowers in full bloom and bikes galore, I felt a little like I was in Paris or another European country!
